Class 1
Teams registered as class 1 plan to develop and use their own hardware and software for the competition.
Class 2
Teams registered as class 2 plan to develop their own software for use with the modLab CKbot hardware. Some CKbot hardware will be made available to groups who are interested in doing this. There is limited hardware so there will be some arbitration depending on the number of entrants.
Class 3
Teams registered as class 3 will be provided with software and hardware to develop configurations and gaits at the competition. They will have use of the modLab GUI for simulation, communication, real-time feedback and creation of gait tables for the CKbot modules. The ICRA 2008 tutorial workshop on “Modular Robot Systems for Rapid Robotic Solutions” will provide a training opportunity for interested teams.
